Why drivers consider extended warranty

Repairs don't wait for a good time

These are common reasons drivers look into an extended warranty. This is general, factual information — not advice. Whether a warranty is right for you is your decision.

Unexpected repair costs

Major mechanical repairs can run into the thousands. An extended warranty may contribute towards the cost of repairing or replacing covered components.

Electrical & electronic faults

Modern vehicles rely on complex electronics and computers. Selected electrical and computer components may be covered, subject to the product's terms and claim limits.

Mechanical breakdowns

Engine, transmission and driveline failures are among the most expensive. Cover levels and per-component claim limits vary by product and vehicle eligibility.

Long-term ownership

If you plan to keep your vehicle beyond its manufacturer's warranty, extended cover is one option some drivers consider. Read the PDS to decide if it suits you.

Example repair costs shown above are examples only and are not a quote. Actual costs vary depending on vehicle, fault and workshop pricing.

Important information

What you should know

RevLimit's role. RevLimit Auto acts as an Authorised Representative of Integrity Car Care Pty Ltd (AFSL 247069) in relation to extended warranty products offered through ICC / iWarranty. The information on this page is factual information only and does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. RevLimit does not provide personal or general advice, does not recommend a product or coverage level, does not issue the warranty, and does not handle claims.

Not insurance. Extended warranty is offered as a discretionary risk product. It is not the same as an insurance policy — you do not have a right to be indemnified for your loss. Integrity is the product issuer and has discretion as to whether it will pay a contribution towards a claim, and will always consider the merits of your claim.

Pricing, eligibility & coverage vary. Warranty pricing varies depending on your vehicle, kilometres travelled and the coverage level selected. Eligibility and coverage vary by product. Per-component claim limits apply. Whether a product is suitable for you is your decision.

Read before you decide. Please read the Financial Services Guide (FSG), Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and applicable Terms before making a decision. A 30-day cooling-off period applies where no claims have been made (see the PDS).

How RevLimit is paid. RevLimit may receive a commission, calculated as a percentage of the warranty cost, when a warranty is arranged. This does not increase the cost to you. You may request further details of this remuneration before any warranty is arranged.

Complaints. Complaints can be made to Integrity's Internal Disputes Officer ([email protected], 03 9120 6666). If unresolved, you may contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) — a free, independent external dispute resolution scheme — on 1800 931 678 or at www.afca.org.au.
